Dear Grooby, Please Shoot Longer Hardcore Scenes.

I've been a member at many different Grooby sites for the hardcore scenes. The hardcore scenes have been very short for the past year in a half. They are 18 minutes or less.

The scenes are way too short. There isn't enough time to enjoy watching a girl in a particular position. Foreplay is barely in scenes. Blowjobs are too short. Positions are too short. It's rushed.

Sometimes a girl is doing one position for a 1/3 of the scene. That forces everything else to be super short. Domino Presley's recent hardcore scene from Shemale Pornstar is an example of this. Domino has a fine ass and she did cowgirl for less than a minute. Are you serious? She has one of the finest asses in porn and you only shoot her in cowgirl for less than a minute. Come On Man!

I want to sit back and enjoy watching a girl suck a dick or get fucked in a particular position. A scene doesn't need to be an hour long. It just needs to be long enough to enjoy every position in the scene.

I don't think this is related to cellphone use. Some companies shorten the original scene's length for cellphones. However, the original scene is longer online on a computer or DVD.

Exactly, I mean I don't even want to say what I would pay to see these scenes uncut and unedited. I don't really know how much they shoot on the set, I don't make porn or anything, but I know that just seeing some real interaction would be amazing. I would even love to see some nice scenarios acted out. I would personally sacrifice the frequency of updates to see an increase in video length, hardcore length, or set designs. I think there are so many gorgeous TGirls and just like the Brazilian movies are getting kind of played out to me. That is actually why I like a ton of Wendy Summers' content because she has some hilarious scenarios. I mean that update she just had where she has sex with herself from the past, I mean so hot. So funny, at one point she even says, "fucking myself from the future...damn, I mean the past!" - made the scene that much better.

I don't really know how much they shoot on the set, I don't make porn or anything, but I know that just seeing some real interaction would be amazing.

I don't take part in the editing process, but after comparing the finished product of my videos with what I remember filming, I would say 85-90% of what is filmed makes it into the final cut. I could be totally off -- I'm just going off of my recollection -- but generally speaking the videos go quite fast, generally only taking 30-90 minutes to film, and furthermore about half of that filming time is spent adjusting lighting, performers getting hard again after a pause, shifting scenes, or things of that nature.

Why thank you, I just checked it out and from the photos it appears you did an excellent job! I am surprised that so much makes it into the final cut, I suppose they are extremely efficient about what they want to shoot. I don't really know the price of equipment, overhead, cost of girls, lighting, but do you have a rough estimate of what it might cost per hour of shooting time? With a simple, one girl, one guy scene? I am just an absolute finatic about movies in all forms and I really feel porn is ready to be revolutionized and bringing back intimate settings, if that is at all possible. Getting out of the hotel rooms, back to back to back and building some of your own sets. I mean I know enough out of work carpenters that something could get put together in a snap!

I mean I have even thought about hiring makeup on a set for an extra cost because you see some of the outfits and styles these makeup videos on youtube are like, and I couldn't imagine having a porn scene with some girls who just went through a couple hours of makeup before the shoot, oh God that would be so AWESOME!

I'm a full time producer of my own content, but more to the point I'm a photographer and video editor for Grooby, the company in question. Throw in being a model for said company and you can see that I'm thoroughly qualified to answer your questions:

Price (approx):

For a hardcore scene? 800 for the girl, 300 for the guy about 500-600 for the cameraman/director, (they are the same person generally) about 100 for the hotel and another 100 bucks for the editor.

So let's see... about two grand for one hardcore scene. That's at its cheapest as there are out of pocket expenses for food, gas, sometimes a makeup lady is called in, most times girls just do their own. Sometimes blood test money needs to be fronted, sometimes a equipment breaks down so someone's wallet has to be pried open... but about 2 grand is a safe, round estimate for an HC scene.

The back to back hotel locations? Easy. Grooby porn is shot on location all over the world. If it were only shot in the (small) studio at headquarters over in Burbank, CA. there would hardly be any content to speak of. Trans models are spread out all the world and it makes a lot more sense to shoot 'satellite' style with various photographers in all sorts of locations. Hence hotels. The model drives in from West Shitsburg, the photographer drives in from East Armpit Falls and they both meet up at the Super 8 off of 45 in Houston to try to get the thing shot before 3pm cause the kids are getting outta school and the photographer has custody this week.

That's the way it works. It's just people doing things the way normal people do things.

Unfortunately, you're carpenter friends will remain unemployed by this slice of the porn industry.

Fans have come to expect a high turnout on a weekly basis so something has to give. If Grooby were a boutique operation, you might get the kind of things you were looking for more often, but those things would come at a premium. You might pay the premium but there wouldn't be enough of you to sustain the kind of business that make Grooby a powerhouse in the niche and a safe and reliable entry point for literally any girl you've become a fan of in this niche. We ALL get our start here.

Of yeah... then there are the dudes. There are like 5 dudes who work in the niche. I shot Stefani Special a few moths back with her real life boyfriend. The passion was real, the sex was true, the customers... complained. So that's a whole other hang up that keeps things pretty much the way they are. Gotta get those guys out to different places or wait for certain girls to get to LA... it can be a mess. Things have to be streamlined.

Pretty close but a lot of the photographers work from their own house/studio : Tony Vee, Buddy Wood, Jack Flash, Kevin Dong, Blackula, Omar Wax, Lucia Matthews all shoot from home unless traveling.

We actually do class ourselves as "boutique" though - and our sites are a bit more expensive than the more generic ones which is what people pay for.

As to video lengths. We aim for 22-25 mins but often feel it's dragging out some of it, so look to get a good scene regardless of length of scene. I'll look at some of the scenes. Didn't you just post this same thing a few months ago Franky?
