Recently I did an interview for AdultDVDTalk. This question really made me reflect on where my career is going:

What made you decide to get into Porn? How long have you been doing it?

I got into porn to have the chance at raising the money for SRS. It was a seemingly impossible goal to reach when I was working dead-end customer service jobs. I’m still not any closer to my goal, but I’m hopeful. I did my first solo almost exactly a year ago! Towards the end of November, 2013.

I realized I have not gotten any closer to getting SRS. It’s not for lack of trying, either.

In my year of Porn, I’ve been cast in 16 hardcores, and 10 solos. Not including all the fetish clips I’ve produced myself.

I’ve received 2 AVN nominations, and 2 TEA nominations also. AVN’s Best TS performer and Best TS Scene, and TEA’s Best Hardcore Performer and Best New Face.

I have made multiple appearances on The SOTW Podcast. (1, 2, 3), also have been on to 96.5 the Buzz for a live radio interview.

I think most people could agree that that’s pretty impressive for someones first year doing porn work. I got as much work as the old heads in this industry.

All of that aside, financially this is not working. Tomorrow I will be, in partnership with my roommate, launching a Crowdfunding program to try for this. There will be many perks included for your generous donations, not limited to content. I will also be releasing my rarely seen transition timeline in hopes of it showing how serious and desperate I am about this.

As for the latter part of your message: My desire for SRS doesn't stem from my sexual identity, but rather my gender identity. I was diagnosed with Gender identity disorder - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia when I came out at 14. The possibility that I'll lose sensation after this operation is real, but not nearly as important to me as just getting rid of what I have. There are plenty of sexual methods that GG lesbians use in the sack, I'm confident I can find something that will work lol.
