I commented on the other thread re: this silly little feud and now I'm sorry I got involved. I don't like hada's avatar either; I don't like a whole lot of others for that matter. Nevertheless this has taken on a rather vindictive, bitchy tone, largely promulgated by nysprod. The previous thread basically became a 'pileing on' exercise directed at hada, who by the terms of service governing this forum has done nothing wrong. The mod's should step in and settle this petty shit.

It's funny how so many people refer to this forum as a community, when it so often feels more like an asylum.

Are you kidding me? "Community" is all about this kind of abuse IRL- it's just another way we collectively determine and reinforce what we think is acceptable.

It works with approbation, too. The type of community we create comes down to how we act individually and react to others.

I understand your point but I think the piling on had a lot to do with how Hada handled himself in the thread. If Nysprod said he didn't like his avatar he could have simply said, "say what you want, you don't have to like it." Instead he himself started a long thread where he engaged in hysterical insults.

Of course Hada does not have to get rid of his avatar, however unpleasant it is. But when he complains that people are insulting his avatar, he invites commentary on what people think of that same avatar. I bet you if he conducted himself more thoughtfully in that thread, more people would have said something like, "you know your avatar is revolting, but there have been plenty of revolting avatars and who really cares if it is."

1. It was already determined in the previous thread, and now again in this one, that the picture in question is not a selfie. I don't know why nysprod continues to assert that it is.


2. I'm not fond of looking at a fistful of cum, but if that's what hada wants as an avatar, so be it. I can ignore it.


3. The previous thread was started by hada, seeking protection from seanchai against nysprods comments. seanchai found nothing wrong with what had been said. hada should stop being a crybaby and accept the comments that his avatar may provoke, or use the ignore feature.


4. This thread was completely unnecessary. nysprod should drop it and move on.
