Some questions to buyers of SoloSites/Multi Sites

Some questions for those of you that actually pay for your porn ..

As some of you may or may not know in the UK we currently have an organsation called ATVOD that are clamping down on all the porn sites and making us pay license fees, change the way we accept billing, change the way verify ages and forcing us to change the way in which we present our websites Front Ends i.e the tours to the fans .. in particular with the removal of all Explicit video previews/pictures ...


So I am being hit at moment by this so have been taking a back step the last 4 5months working out things etc .. I am about to switch off my website for a short duration while I work out the best course of action to make my site compliant .. which is either I will join a bigger Non UK company .. and have them run my site as such .. or I will make my website compliant but then that puts me at a disadvantage to my fellow models with choices/options available .


Questions I have for you is this ..

(1) What payments do you prefer to use to signup ? would you be happy only being able to use a Credit Card ?

(2) If you couldnt see any XXX rated video previews,so no wanking previews, no sex previews etc , the only previews would be what is deemed as SOFT CORE .. so full frontals non aroused etc ...or simulated sex acts etc .. How would this affect your choice in wanting to join this website ?

(3) If you had to enter ID to verify your age would bother to do this ? or would go mehhh onto the tubes it is .?


So to summarise if you could only see a website for example say a solo site, that only had Credit Cards as payment option , and the only free previews you could see were soft core , but with text graphics telling you there is explicit sex etc in the website .. would you still consider joining the website ?

Lets also say you came to the website from a Gallery advert on a FHG site/ Tube site preview etc that was a hardcore preview video .. but once on the site you couldnt see anymore explicit stuff until you are a member would that affect your choice ?

1. Credit. That should include prepaid cards.

2. I think would have to know the number of hardcore scenes and their frequency of updating before I would consider joining the site. That's my general rule with any solo girl site.

3.What kind of ID are we talking about here? Because if its my social security number (assuming we are talking about a site located in the United States), then its off to the tube sites I go.

to answer your questions. this is how it would be for me:

if i know the sites quality (like evil angel), i'd pay regardless of whether the previews were softcore or non-existant because i know they make the porn i want to watch.

if i don't know about the sites product (new site, or one i never saw their content before) i wouldn't purchase their product.

payment type is a non-issue for me.

I'll meander on this post a bit so bear with me.

First of all Liberty - simply having a foreign company run your site isn't good enough unless they run it all, ATVOD will come after anyone who has editorial control from what I understand (you can find our more at Xbiz forum).

Years ago when there was a scare on, we black circles every penis and anus on our tours and as far as I can remember and am aware, it made not one bit of difference. Right now, we don't do that and we show full nudity in the tours - but I don't think by changing it as long as we implied (show the image, block the offending parts) what was inside and then used sites like this or social networks to propagate other images, then you'd be unlikely to lose members.
There is also the school of thought, that people may pay to see the full nude - we know that people get off on our tours, we just hope they come back to join at some point (when they have money, when they're divorced, etc).

I'd support an industry wide ban on showing hardcore content without some sort of age verification but it's pointless by just the UK doing it, as with a click of a mouse, they can be anywhere else which is showing it.

I wouldn't put too much stock into what people respond to on here to be honest, they're always "sold" into the genre, I'd test it with ATVOD compliance and if the sales drop, then look at your options.
