I've got the weekend off and I'll be there Friday and Saturday nights. More than anyone else, I hope to meet Tatiana Summer in the flesh. I always have a good time on these weekends. The AEE is my favorite convention of them all! It's like dying and waking up in Pornstar Heaven!

Seemed like a really slow year. Everyone I've talked to said money was terrible this year. I had promoters begging me to send them people that night, which has never happened on NYE before. Usually its a couple hundred for a ticket and line jump, this year I walked right in to XS like I owned it in 10 minutes flat. Which should not be happening at 12:30 with no prior notice and a party of 4 that doesn't want a table.

I want to go but I don't know anything about it. And it seems really expensive.

Hotel rooms aren't too terrible anymore. Now that it is on a different schedule than CES the whole city isn't booked solid. The venue (Hard Rock) and most of the high end places still charge out the ass, but you can find some decent rates at the Palms or other 2nd tier hotels.

Compared to the Wynn, Aria, Cosmopolitan, Caesars (Octavius,Augustus, Nobu towers), or Venetian.....yes. I'd even say Planet Hollywood is a better place now. As for amenities, all those places have everything the Palms offers, and places nearby you can walk to if you don't want their particular version. With the Palms being off Strip, braving cab lines both ways kind of sucks. I used to love the Palms, but its going to be a locals joint real soon if it doesn't get a big name place and/or act in there to bring back the feel it had when it opened.

Anyone can pay to go in to the convention. Most of the parties are also open to the public, the stars are all just beyond the velvet rope in the VIP section though.

To the convention yes. For most of us the fun is at the bars in the Hard Rock or at the clubs later that night. Doing tequila shots with your favorite star is much more fun than just going "Hi Foxxy, can you sign this?" with 20 other wankers in line behind you.
