Transsexual adult film star and celebrity guru, Lexi Wade opens up about her return to the industry this year, along with her recent award nomination for the 6th Annual Tranny Awards for “Best Internet Personality”. The 2010 newcomer has made definite progression since her debut and continues to strive for success. During Lexi Wade’s first interview as featured on Shemale Yum, she stated that her goal was to receive an AVN nomination within her first year. Although she didn’t receive an AVN nomination during her first year, Wade soon found herself to be a nominee for “Transsexual Performer of the Year” for the 2012 XBIZ Awards. This makes for Miss Wade’s seventh award nomination to date and a two time nominee for “Best Internet Personality.”

Ok I'm not being "snarky" but those aren't "celebrity followers". Vistaprint/Zagat/WWEUniverse/Treasure Island etc. These aren't following you as they're interested in what you are saying, they're following you because that's their social network model - to add followers - Zagat follows 135,000 people!! Sundance Fest 175,000 !!! Pretty much anyone who adds them would get added - thus allowing them to post (advertise) to your tweet feed.

That's not Vanilla Ice following you - just his publicity dept. and he also follows 45,000 people (a ratio of 25% of who follows him). It's a little cringeworthy to espouse that these are celebrity followers when they're not.

Most celebs have a much lower ratio as they follow only those that are interesting or provide worth to their own followers, eg: @rickygervais has over 5million followers yet only follows 500 people, @piersmorgan nearly 4M and following 789 people, @RuPaul 417,000 but only follows 314 people,

I'm all for self-promotion but this press-release is only every-so slightly (ahem) inflated that it detracts from any of the real publicity you should be doing for yourself.

I agree. And anyone with any real knowledge of how social media, marketing and celebrity-ism works would know that these facts and figures are farce.
It's also easy to just hire someone to help build up your social media presence to look anyway you want it to.
