Big thanks to grooby. My partner's hometown of Hernani, Eastern Samar was also severely damaged in the storm, and her family and many of her friends (who are also trans or gay) were still living or staying there when the typhoon made landfall, we've been getting reports trickling in of people in desperate need of food, water, and medical aid, and are praying for her people there.

Just got word from my angel, her friend's families and her own family are mostly safe and accounted for, with a couple more of her lb friends still out of contact but hopefully they sought shelter, but many of the survivors are still in desperate need of food, shelter, medicine, etc, as the highways leading into hernani are completely fucked up, and bands of looters hijacking relief convoys(WTF is wrong with some people). The latest I've heard in the news is there is aid pouring in for everywhere, and the USA is sending a carrier group and marines for more assistance.
