My colleagues and I will be returning to Sao Paulo next month for some meetings.

Last time through one of my fellow colleagues had arranged for an transgendered escort for the evening and hotel security stopped her at the door and put the fear of god in my colleague to the degree that he was afraid he was going to be arrested.

He was never arrested and I am not sure to this day if security was just power tripping or actually cared either way, but the end result was that my colleague was unsuccessful in actually getting anything done "recreationally".

The odd part was other colleagues had no issue whatsoever meeting local "talent" (though they were genetic females) and hotel security either didn't notice or didn't care. I guess it is equally possible that gender didn't play a role and it was just that hotel security missed the other "working" girls as there style of dress or whatever did not set off any sort of warning signs.

If upscale hotels make a stink about transgendered escorts is there alternative place where my colleague could go that is safe, yet tolerant of his interests?

As I am world traveler (compared to my colleagues) somehow questions like this seem to always be posed to me, thus my questioning here...if the answer is you take your owns risks I am probably going to advise my colleague to just concentrate on work and forget about his desires.
