Can someone please explain the makeup and costuming of this show to me? It makes no sense. She has to consider desperation moves to get hormones, but has perfectly relaxed, dyed, and styled hair?

They actually have scenes in the series of them making makeup and hair dye from stuff like koolaid so it's at least partially plausible.

It's also minimum security with a commissary. The hormone issue is due to cutbacks.

I loved this show. Make up can be explained, relaxed hair not so much.
