Goddamn. One of my favorites. I first saw him in the TV series Crime Story in the 80s. He was in some of my favorite movies (Snatch, Get Shorty, Midnight Run), and delivered some great lines ("Fuck you, fuckball!). RIP.

Did you ever see him as the eccentric hotel manager on Tales From the Crypt? He was hilarious in a great episode starring Timothy Dalton. The guy was so great at playing cops and mobsters but he could do many different roles very well. I believe he was originally a real-life detective who became an adviser to a film then an actor IIRC.
