That's how I read it, but Dan and Sukumvit are both right. Anyone who gets into a 'committed relationship' without finding out if they are sexually compatible needs to be committed. I'm not suggesting it should be fireworks from the off, but in bed you very quicklu find out if someone is prepared to walk the same sexual path as you. You can't leavethat too long, otherwise you may end up with someone you aren't really compatible with, because you have feelings for them. The two have to go hand in hand.

What happens if a man forms a relationship with a transexual and enjoys both the day-to-day aspects of the relationship and the sex, but finds say, five years down the line that the sex has all but ceased, if not from boredom, but from a regime of hormone therapy that reduces a significant part of her sexual attraction to something that is merely limp and pees? And the operation looms. Unless there is a powerful emotional bond to sustain the relationship, I think the decline of sexual virility and the emotional and financial issues shaped by SRS can make or break the relationship, and in the case of the transexual be particularly destructive as they often need a lot of emotional support for the duration of the process, and afterwards. A real test of commitment.
