New Portfolio To Help Get Me Work...

I didn't post these photos for feedback. I never ask for feedback. You volunteered your opinion completely unsolicited. I put my wares out there 'as is' and these aren't even wares in the strictest sense... it's gravy that I'm putting them out there at all. Porn is simple, visceral and if someone has anything to say about it on a tech level it means they are far too preoccupied with their own pretenses to have any say-so whatsoever. On the consumer end, (this is a consumers board) porn is not a game of iso, softboxes and shutter speeds, it's a game of hot or not I deemed the pictures hot enough to share and a few fans a greed and that's basically a completed mission. Having said all that, my techniques are just fine. Re-adjust your monitor, your levels are off.

I have no desire to INSULT you and you seem to take my photographic criticism as a personal offense. It isn't intended that way, so don't take it that way. Every photographer learns from constructive criticism. In that regard, I am no different than you. I learn from everyone I teach. I have no desire to get into a pissing contest with you, that wasn't why I commented on your post. You posted your images for feedback, and I provided my feedback. So don't be hostile if someone gives you feedback that isn't what you expect.

I am glad you have been in business as a pro for 7 years, more power to you I have been in business for a number of years as well (more than 7) but that doesn't really matter does it?

I don't need to justify myself to you then same as you don't need to justify yourself to me. You like what you like, and shoot what you shoot. I am sure some of the stuff I shoot (non-porn) you may not like as well.. to each their own.

Regarding a 1st impression? Honestly, you don't care about what I think. You don't have to. I am only one opinion that happens to think what you shot could be done a little differently for better results. Regarding your retouching skill.. yeah I said you need light retouching and that you should present retouched work. I never said you did none.

There is no need to debate every point with you. Suffice to say, I don't eat Doritos and and am in pretty good shape for 43 Show me someone who doesn't have an opinion and I will show you someone who constantly gets run over in life.

I honestly will debate technique with you all day long, and eventually you will see my point, but not once did I comment negatively on the subject. So take a deep breath, and return fire

I know we have our differences. However, this post is not intended to insult you. If you've been in porn for 7 years and have problems getting work then a portfolio will not solve your problems. 7 years with little work outside of your site while seeking work screams problems. Your problem getting work appears to be deeper than your resume.

If you're going to post your resume on a public forum then you should expect criticism. Too many pornstars like yourself think that no one should criticize them. If you're going to post pictures of yourself then you better expect criticism. As a pornstar some people will praise your looks and see your as beautiful. Other people will not be attracted to you. In this case a person noticed some problems in the photography. Photography can make or break a person's appearance regardless of how attractive they maybe.

I'm not sure how a professional would look at them in terms of a portfolio (because I'm not one), but they are all brilliant photos that do a good job of showing you off. Nice work.

The "portfolio" posted and in question, is not nessecarily a "portfolio" for trolls like you Franklin. It's origin came about yesterday when Jamie got an email from Mz. Berlin from kink.com with requirements she needed to present to the director. Jamie, let alone any girl who decides to make a "portfolio" by posting pictures, posted them for PROFESSIONAL PRODUCERS and DIRECTORS to review. As for the fans, hell the pictures are here as well for them to fap to. Nothing wrong with that. BTW, Flunklin, you are NOT a PROFESSIONAL PORN CRITIC/PRODUCER/DIRECTOR. You are a PROFESSIONAL TROLL, and you do well at that.

There have been several threads with girls posting their pics, and some brash troll comes along and says blatantly nasty things about the girl. WHICH in any case, IF said troll has a problem with the girl, or she is not the troll's preference, or cup-o-tea, to NOT say anything NEGATIVE. The MODS and Seanchai have made this quite clear. If you have nothing NICE to say, shut the hell up and stay quiet in your own brain-meat.

Also, there is nothing wrong with Jamie's photography. She shot it with all the checkmarks checked and planned it out very well. She has and uses all the proper equipment to shoot and edit for the best quality. Jamie has shot many girls, and edited a shit-ton of photos and videos for many, many sites...sites you most likely subscribe to.

Her credibility has no need for you, Flakelin. You, have been pointed out by Myself, Jamie, and MANY others on here, that you are a person who cannot stop being negative, and brash. I am sick of girls like you DEMANDING us to praise you. It's one thing to say "This girl is not my type" or "This girl is a bad performer.". It's another thing to say someone is butt ugly. However, no one is being rude by calling anyone butt ugly.

If you are a bad performer then you should expect criticism. Some people on this board all of the time say Kimber James is a boring performer. Note they did not call her ugly or a freak. They did not personally attack her. They criticized her product and work. I share a different opinion because I think Kimber is an awesome performer.

You are a pornstar. You are a model. You are apart of a SEX product. Due to these three features you must expect criticism. Criticism can be a sensitive topic. However, models are criticized all of the time. Instead of bushing people ask people what you can do to improve. The only thing pornstars can't improve are their looks unless they get surgery or lose weight. I wouldn't suggest surgery to anybody.
