Well ladies, congratulations. Your last three pages have proved beyond any reasonable doubt Wendy's hypothesis from a week or so back that "Fuckin' Asians" is indeed the new "Am I Gay?"

    Well done.

My favourite part in the drug ads is, when they list these side effects, the very end where they say very fast: "... and may include death"...

I suscribe to a few movie channels. There's no ads on them. I can no longer watch movies on regular tv. Same with the only sport I enjoy, boxing: no ad on HBO. In general, public tv is always better than private, PBS is the best in the US, and I suppose BBC is in the UK. But tv in general is moving towards specialized channels. It's a market that will probably keep on growing until they link once and for all tv and the net, which should come pretty soon... Then, it will be a whole new ballgame for publicity, probably much worse than what we have on the tube nowadays...

No "suppose" about it, Dan. Wherever I go in the world, I come back thanking providence and my lucky stars for the good old Beeb. Of course it isn't perfect, and we pay an annual licence fee, but just a few hours of David Attenborough and it's paid up in full. Quality television, best in the world.

Here we have BBC Canada, but they're forced by the Canadian Radio and Television Comity to fill it with Canadian content (at lest 40%, I think), which is usually bad leftover productions from other networks. But I watch the BBC news bulletin almost every day on PBS and I love it.
