Absolutely true, Eva. Most of my interactions are with individual girls who are not and probably never will be part of "the scene". As you say, ordinary girls going through transition quietly with all the courage, determination and terror that it takes.

I guess I've been privileged because my first experience was in supporting an old university friend - with whom I'd played rugby, no less - in her transition in her late 20s, when most folks either turned away or didn't know how to deal with it. To me she was just a friend who needed my love and help.

And no, we never had a physical relationship. But her experience opened my eyes to a whole new world of intolerance and anguish that I hadn't seen before. It ended happily when she met and married a great guy; they're also in the process of adopting a child. And my proudest day ever was when she asked me to give her away at the ceremony.

It can end happily ever after.

Thanks Eva. I sometimes wonder if I'm the only guy on HA whose first involvement with transgenderism was essentially non-sexual. The sex came quite a bit later, long after helping my friend and meeting her compatriot girls who were either transitioning or had already done so. They were, and remain, a fabulous support group for her, and they were all at the wedding too.

I like to think it's given me a greater understanding and dare I say it empathy with the girls. That's why I get so impatient with guys who reduce the girls to sex objects and fap fodder without considering the whole person and the history that's brought them to this point in their lives.

Dude, in all sincerity, the odds are against you. The hookers are easy to find. The non-hookers--not so much. How many times has anyone fostered a meaningful relationship from a nightclub??? It's loud, people are drinking and anyone looking to get serious is not going to be there. My honest advise (lol) would be TO go to a TS party. Contrary to one stupid opinion, most of the girls are young, pretty and not Mexican! Try to be a nice guy and maybe you can woo someone without giving her money. Most of the girls are trying to pay rent, but at least you know tgirls are there. Other clubs you have no idea who's gonna be there. Might as well wait at the grocery store. What you're asking for is going to be EXTREMELY hard to find. It's going to take a fair share of LUCK!

well we arent exactly easy to find or spot in the normal venues that people mingle socially.of course we're there too but we arent exactly wearing our "im a tranny,ask me how" shirts are we lol

right, but a well tuned tgirl and/or tgirl admirer have a sort of "transdar". I can pick out trannys easily in clubs. Note, that the lumberjack with a dress on IS the easiest to pinpoint LMAO

Tgirl admirers are like Ahab. They'll soon have their white whale if they are persistent enough. In turn, they get their ship's crew killed in the frey but they get it nonetheless.
