Goddamn cell phones!
Yeah , I know their handy and 'neat' and all that. And I know It's mostly the
idiot carrying the thing , not the cell phone to blame.
1. Rather than making us more 'connected' it seems that people are becoming more disconnected from actual people and events there in front of them. People are becoming more insular.
2. Just more clutter and distraction in our lives ,further shortening our attention span and ability to assimilate and reflect.
3. Where is Emily Post now that we really need her to write a chapter on cell phone etiquette.
We've all seen it ,fucking things disrupting concerts , people walking around shouting into their cell phones annoying everyone else .
We need a cell phone code of etiquette ,like table manners , that we can all agree upon.

I really think text messages are about the dumbest thing. It's a telephone for crying out loud. You wanna write a letter, use a computer and email.

Another thing that I'm starting to notice is that the telemarketers are beginning to move in on these networks. It was bad enough to get these calls on the landline, but on my cell...gimme a fucking break.
