Anybody Hiked The Appalachain Trail Or Plan To?

I'm going this weekend with my funny little honey. Renting a nice B&B for the first night, then camping on the trail for a night. We're taking it easy this time.
I've hiked several parts of it when I was a bit younger. Some of the hills/mountains can be pretty grueling, but it's very pretty once you get up there.

Lmao ...no, and they fight too much anyway! ...but in all seriousness, some figures put the black bear (leave it alone, Krissy!) at approximately 1 per acre within the park boundaries. They're generally pretty shy, though, preferring to stay away unless food is easy to get. I've had a few late night/early morning visitors though... it does make you WIDE AWAKE.

Wow... that is a lot of bears. Yeah, I think that would probably wake you up quicker than a horny regular bear. Not as cuddly either.

I've watched enough NatGeo specials not to ever want to get on a bear's bad side, or even be the object of their curiosity, that's for sure.
