Pretty much. Her words:

She also gained a lot of fans (and haters), and went out on top...or at least near the top. One can't deny her popularity.

I could have just used Beaner since it is Gender Neutral . Spick would not apply because it refers to the combination of all groupings and I was differentiating per the mention of Rican . Wetback could apply since the person is from Texas . It would not apply usually if from California, Arizona and New Mexico since that term would be Duster . There are many terms for others depending upon where they are from in Central or South America or Islands .

The reason I even mentioned it is these groups like Asians and others don't necessarily assimilate with each other . They have different cultures, clothing styles, slang,food and music among other things . Some down right despise the others .

To to sum it up . My reply was in regard to a Mexican or Tejano [ I prefer the term American non hyphenated ] getting all mushy over a Puerto Rican [ I prefer American from whichever State they live ] . These 2 groups rarely live in the same regions of the USA .

I hope this helps clarify my reply . I guess some people are caught up to much on stereotypical / derogatory slang that these terms have to be used for them to understand what someone writes .

I can understand getting into the industry to make side money, and do it for like AT LEAST 1-2 yrs...but 4.5 months then POOF?

What was her motivation?

To me, it doesn't make sense...she "does it all" then out.
You are right Willie, she does have the popularity, but to me, it seems like a waste, does it not? To literally win all those awards....but in retrospect, it appears she didn't even care in the first place. Also, not to mention that she was kind of a first with that...........unless it was just "to see if she COULD do it"................idk
