Hey,dumb Americans,Africa is not country.

l've never been to East Africa (Kenya,Tanzania and Ethiopia) but l've met Transsexuals in almost everywhere l have been(mainly West Africa,Southern Africa & North Africa)in Africa.Despite the dangers of being LGBT in some African countries,there are places where LGBT folk get together & if you have money or game you can always hook up.

it should be but we all know it isn't and never will be, which is why I feel a reminder to the OP is in order if he is going to go see third world hookers with questionable health care at best.

no it is not. all those 3 locations are pretty islamic and like many islamic regions, crime is very strictly punished.

what they do have a problem with is drugs. you don't want to buy food from kiosk vendors or on the local bus and there are many stories of people being "given" candy and waking up miles from civilization with no memory of getting there

Just for information, none of these countries are Islamic. Ethiopia and Kenya are majority Christian and Tanzania is about equal numbers of Christians and Muslims. Wikipedia is very useful for basic stuff like this.
