Smile Happy Resurrection Day to Everyone at HungAngels!

Hello, fellow HungAngels members. I present two wonderful Easter songs for you in order to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the forerunner of our own resurrection from death.

The below is a cover of a Don Francisco song:

Dolly Parton, "He's Alive", White Limozeen (1989).

    "He's Alive by Dolly Parton", Music Mogul, Mar. 5, 2011 http://www.vidoosh.tv/videos/16589/h...y-dolly-parton , http://www.vidoosh.tv/uploads/a0838b19a3.flv , http://www.webcitation.org/6FXZ7RkdH

    Lyrics:

The gates and doors were barred
And all the windows fastened down
I spent the night in sleeplessness
    And rose at every sound
    Half in hope of sorrow
And half in fear the day
Would find the soldiers breakin' through
    To drag us all away

    And just before the sunrise
I heard something at the wall
    The gate began to rattle
And a voice began to call
    I hurried to the window
    Looked down into the street
    Expecting swords and torches
And the sound of soldiers' feet

But there was no one there but Mary
So I went down to let her in
    John stood there beside me
As she told me where she'd been
She said they've moved Him in the night
And none of us know where
    The stone's been rolled away
And now His body isn't there

We both ran towards the garden
    Then John ran on ahead
We found the stone and empty tomb
Just the way that Mary said
But the winding sheet they wrapped Him in
    Was just an empty shell
And how or where they'd taken Him
Was more than I could tell

Oh something strange had happened there
Just what I did not know
    John believed a miracle
But I just turned to go
    Circumstance and speculation
    Couldn't lift me very high
'Cause I'd seen them crucify Him
    Then I saw Him die

    Back inside the house again
    The guilt and anguish came
    Everything I'd promised Him
    Just added to my shame
When at last it came to choices
I denied I knew His name
And even if He was alive
    It wouldn't be the same

But suddenly the air was filled
With a strange and sweet perfume
    Light that came from everywhere
    Drove shadows from the room
    And Jesus stood before me
With His arms held open wide
And I fell down on my knees
And I just clung to Him and cried

Then He raised me to my feet
And as I looked into His eyes
The love was shining out from Him
    Like sunlight from the skies
    Guilt in my confusion
    Disappeared in sweet release
And every fear I ever had
    Just melted into peace

    He's alive yes He's alive
Yes He's alive and I'm forgiven
    Heaven's gates are open wide
    He's alive yes He's alive
Oh He's alive and I'm forgiven
    Heaven's gates are open wide
    He's alive He's alive
    Hallelujah He's alive
    He's alive and I'm forgiven
    Heaven's gates are open wide
    He's alive He's alive He's alive
    I believe it He's alive
    Sweet Jesus

    "Steve Vaus - RENEGADES", Minuteman4Jesus, Aug. 14, 2010

    Lyrics:

    From Nazareth He came,
    With a rag tag band
    To bring ... a revolution

    Some would make Him King,
    others couldn't stand for that
The cross ... was the solution

    But He rose again,
    and wise men follow Him
    He rose again,
    and wise men follow Him

    Thank God for the renegades,
    and the lives they lead
    Far ahead of their time

    Without the renegades,
    Lord knows where we'd be
    When it comes to heroes,
    renegades are mine

    They railed against the crown,
    Another rag tag band
    Declaring Independence

    They laid their bodies down,
    won a bloody war,
    and liberty for their descendants

    Thanks to the renegades,
    we're free today
    Thanks to the renegades,
    we're free today

    Thank God for the renegades,
    and the lives they lead
    Far ahead of their time

    Without the renegades,
    Lord knows where we'd be
    When it comes to heroes,
    renegades are mine

    Where are the renegades
    in the world today?
    Who are the renegades
    in the world today?

Given an infinite amount of computational resources, recreating the exact quantum state of our present universe is trivial (per the Bekenstein Bound), requiring at most a mere 10^123 bits (the number which Roger Penrose calculated), or at most a mere 2^10^123 bits for every different quantum configuration of the universe logically possible (i.e., the powerset, of which the multiverse in its entirety at this point in universal history is a subset of this powerset). So the Omega Point will be able to resurrect us using merely an infinitesimally small amount of total computational resources: indeed, the multiversal resurrection will occur between 10^-10^10 and 10^-10^123 seconds before the Omega Point is reached, as the computational capacity of the universe at that stage will be great enough that doing so will require only a trivial amount of total computational resources.

For more details on the above, including how the miracles of Jesus Christ are allowed by the known laws of physics, see my following article (published under my legal name):

James Redford, "The Physics of God and the Quantum Gravity Theory of Everything", Social Science Research Network (SSRN), Sept. 10, 2012 (orig. pub. Dec. 19, 2011), 186 pp., doi:10.2139/ssrn.1974708, http://ssrn.com/abstract=1974708 , http://archive.org/download/ThePhysi...ics-of-God.pdf , http://alphaomegapoint.files.wordpre...ics-of-god.pdf , http://theophysics.host56.com/Redfor...ics-of-God.pdf , http://sites.google.com/site/physico...ics-of-God.pdf

Below is a good but short article on the historicity of Jesus Christ's bodily resurrection by Prof. Craig:

William Lane Craig, "Contemporary Scholarship and the Historical Evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ", Truth, Vol. 1 (1985), pp. 89-95. http://www.leaderu.com/truth/1truth22.html , http://www.webcitation.org/69KCm4WtO

The fullest academic historiographical treatment that has ever been given to the subject of Christ's bodily resurrection is the below work by Prof. Licona:

Michael R. Licona, The Resurrection of Jesus: A New Historiographical Approach (Downers Grove, Ill.: IVP Academic, 2010). The Resurrection of Jesus: A New Historiographical Approach: Michael R. Licona: 9780830827190: Amazon.com: Books

Regarding the Christ myth theory, virtually all the items which the Christ myth theorists claim as facts which show the parallels of Christianity with earlier pagan religions are completely fabricated modern claims that can't be found in the historical record. For an excellent discussion on this, see the following video:

"Did Jesus Exist? Shattering the Christ Myth (JP Holding)", rfvidz, Mar. 30, 2012.

The above video is an interview of James Patrick Holding (editor of Shattering the Christ Myth: Did Jesus Not Exist? [Maitland, Fla.: Xulon Press, 2008] 301 Moved Permanently ) by Dr. Craig Johnson on the topic of the Christ myth theory. See also the below resources regarding the Christ myth theory on J. P. Holding's website:

"Were Bible stories and characters stolen from pagan myths?", Tekton Education and Apologetics Ministry. http://www.tektonics.org/copycathub.html

"Did Jesus exist?", op. cit. http://www.tektonics.org/jesusexisthub.html

Of course, my own aforecited article details how the miracles of Jesus Christ are allowed by the known laws of physics and how said known laws of physics actually mathematically require God (i.e., the final cosmological singularity, called the Omega Point, the physicists' technical term for God) to exist.

Where I come from the message of Easter does not result in maudlin poesy or advertisements for oneself, but private reflection on life and the value within it.

A priest is like a mischievious car mechanic. Most people wait until absolutely broken before they see one. Completely at the man's mercy, the man pops the hood and looks around. He locates the problem then uses a hand-held blender to shake and stir it up. Finally found the bottom now it can be rebuilt and improved. Before he finally slams it down he sticks a long straw down there and drinks the blood without a bit of fuss.

I might have been born at Pep Boys but the three wise men couldn't keep me in the shop forever.

Where I come from, Easter means rabbits lay hard boiled eggs, chocolate jelly beans come from marshmallow chickens, & drunken college girls from around the world show off their perky boobs. Truly a day of celebration. Isn't "He is Risen" the name of some porn vid?

In general, it seems that Jammie's Easter gifts to us have fallen on the usual critical ears. I thought the Easter message about "He is risen" was not a reference to some porn movie but our efforts with diy.

I'm not trying to be disrespectful but is there any place in particular where you can get a really good view of the resurrection? I don't want to get a bad angle. And what time of day is it? I don't want to see him when he's resurrected but while he's actually resurrecting. I'm curious how he plans on doing it because I'd like to try it some day.

Pat Robertson Says Fewer Miracles Happen For 'Sophisticated' Americans Taught Evolution (VIDEO)

The Huffington Post | By Cavan Sieczkowski Posted: 04/02/2013 12:25 pm EDT | Updated: 04/02/2013 2:06 pm EDT

Pat Robertson recently attempted to explain why more miracles seem to happen for "simple, humble" foreigners than for Americans, and he said it has to do with evolution.
On Monday's episode of the Christian Broadcasting Network's "700 Club," a viewer wrote in and asked why miracles -- "like people being raised from the dead, blind eyes opened, lame people walking" -- often happen overseas and not in the United States, RawStory notes. Robertson was quick to respond that the teaching of evolution in America might be partly to blame.
"Those people overseas didn't go to Ivy League schools," he said. "We're so sophisticated. We think we've got everything figured out. We know about evolution, we know about Darwin, we know about all these things that says God isn’t real. We know about all this stuff."
He continued, adding that "in the more advanced schools, we've been inundated with skepticism and secularism. And overseas they're simple, humble. You tell them God loves them, and they say, 'Okay, he loves me.' You say, 'God'll do miracles' and they say, 'Okay, we believe him.' That's what God's looking for. That's why they have miracles."
However, evolution is taught in schools around the globe, according to Scientific American's Katherine Harmon.
Students between the ages of 14 and 16 learn about evolution in the United Kingdom, Harmon writes. In 2007, the European Union's Parliamentary Assembly issued a report asking member states to "promote scientific knowledge and the teaching of evolution and to oppose firmly any attempts at teaching creationism as a scientific discipline." Mention of evolution also appears in the textbooks of most high school students in Muslim countries, written within a religious framework.
The 83-year-old televangelist has long been an opponent of the "liberal" education system in the U.S. In March, he said leftists are using public schools to "indoctrinate" America's youth and "force them into a mindset that is contrary to what their parents believe."
