I would hope and assume that most girls have some form of protection to hand (ie a knife in the UK). I've visiting escorts who clearly have a friend in a room nearby. A good plan. Isn't Northern Ireland part of the UK? Then it's not a completely alien idea there either. You won't normally see people charged with jaywalking outside of congested urban areas like NY unless it's following an accident or some other charge.
