Actually lots of culture and hidden treasures in SoCal that aren't either stereotypical or In and Out, though the fries are fantastic and animal style is a hell of burger.

I hope it really is an LOL. Things aren't as expensive as say Manhattan is but then again So Cal ain't cheap. People here for the most are OK. In places like WeHo they won't give a shit your a TS and in places like Downey they are too dumb to notice. People here may live in hurried bubbles but it isn't scary IMHO, most folks just want to enjoy the weather and their day. It isn't anymore weird than the Tidewater, just way bigger and a lot of concrete.
