Valentine's Day When Single

The only time it's not stupid is when you're freshly in love. Then your body chemistry forces you to think irrationally ....and the cheesy doesn't always seem quite so...but when your mind comes back to normal, you think - "Valentine's Day...what the fuck!!???"

That being said - when I was married I always bought my wife flowers...because I wanted to. We both recognized it as a cheesy day...but she appreciated them anyway.

Now I don't really care much about the day...too old,too cynical...it seems stupid.

That being said...for you young guys out there,in N.Y.C. wanting to impress your girl with some quality chocolate...pay a visit to Jacques Torres...I like the one on Hudson Street.

I always find it funny when the people that have find this holiday useless. When the have nots (me) want someone so I don't want to be lonely that night.

Usually I sit at home and watch movies. It also happens to be the day I was born on. Being a very alone type of person, I can't say it's any different than other days. Maybe a little quieter is all!
