Depends on what you mean by masculine...nothing's cut and dried when it comes to sexuality. I'll use the actress Michelle Rodriguez as an example: although she's quite pretty (to me, anyway), she also comes across as quite butch...which is why she's used in so many butch roles (boxer, mercenary/soldier,mercenary/soldier, mercenary/soldier, street bitch...lol,..etc...). She'd be considered masculine by a large segment of the female population and a portion of the male...but she's totally hot, to me,and to at least a significant enough portion of the viewing public to justify giving her a decent amount of Hollywood work.I think that is because she's quite sexy.

If you mean Carl Lewis in a wig and a mini-skirt...not my taste.(but major props to guys that love that and have the cojones to show that love in public )

Now,...if you are referring to that bit of hard edge some girls may exhibit as a by-product of either DNA or some slightly later transitioning...that's not going to hinder someone like me.I wouldn't be here if it did. I'm blind to that shit.Attractive is attractive.

You might have gotten the impression from my posts that I am very traditional and feminine, but I was raised as a boy, so... I still have some childhood interests that could be considered "masculine" or traditionally for boys... such as comics, video games, etc.

I mean, is masculine and feminine merely cultural? Or is it innate?
Plus what about people who see themselves as: genderless?
That term isn't really brought up on this site. But it is becoming more common that people -- men and women -- see themselves as being genderless.
its almost entirely cultural i think... gender itself is something innate but gender expression/roles are mostly cultural..

And, too, the late American activist and actor Russell Means pointed out that culture isn't Wal-Mart or McDonald's or any other so-called corporate structure.
What culture is is a set of values. But he pointed out that America has no values.
One can either agree or disagree with him.
But, well, what is culture? I'd say: yes!, it is a set of values.
And, too, what are our values? Is it to be selfish and unconcerned with other people? I mean, the emphasis is quite clear: you should only be concerned about yourself and nobody else matters.... I mean, that seems pretty crystallized in the American psyche.
And that leads to much broader environmental questions about whether or not we should be concerned about future generations.
But, again, the emphasis is on: I'm the only one that matters. It's an Ayn Rand ideology that has captured the core of our so-called culture.

Is it possible for a trans woman to be just, say, masculine and butch...and still be attractive?
as has been stated...not to me.

i don't find butch genetic women attractive so why would i find masculine transwomen attractive?

michelle rodriguez is not masculine. she has an average face and a relatively non-curvy body but her roles in movies are never very feminine at all.
