    Default I'm 30..so I'm starting a new health crazed diet and need tips :)

    No this is not cause of the New Years, it's because I want to keep my figure and stay healthy as long as I can!

    Like I said now that I am 30, I am taking my health more serious. I am also eating lots of kale which is a cancer preventative.



    Hubby and I purchased the pro Vitamex blender and it does all these awesome things plus makes awesome soup!



    I myself can't stand veggies! I am a weird one..I don't like tomatoes, but I like ketchup & tomato soup. I don't like oranges, but like orange juice. I do not like strawberries or cherries, but like them in smoothies etc. Nor do I like squash, kale, celery, raw pears, the list goes on what I don't like!


    But with this everything is either tolerable or good. This morning I made the green garden smoothie, which consists of squash, celery, kale, carrots, green apple, and I added a pear for better taste. It was actually pretty good! I can see myself having this daily!

    I will let you know..also for the first time in my life I'll be starting exercise.
    For the health nuts do you have any suggestions for trans girls? I don't want to get bulky, and I found when I worked out with a personal trainer last year. He made my arms look bigger.

    Any tips would be good

    You do any Yoga, Pilates, or resistance training with your own body weight?

    Eat a lot of lean protein. Rule of thumb is your body can digest 30 Grams an hour but individuals vary.

    As far as the "not liking veggies" I once dated a gal who had an actual fear of tomatoes. Went to get a sack of burgers once and bring them home but forgot to hold the tomato on hers. She had an episode even more melodramatic than normal when she uncovered the horror. I quickly grabbed the ominous tomato slice and ate it. She was still hysterical pointing at the tomato goo. I picked up the burger, licked it real good, and handed it back. She ate it but now complained I made the bun soggy. I was lucky when she moved back to New Jersey.

    I'm not fond of fad diets or similar regimens myself, but if you find something you can commit to and enjoy and it's healthy as well, go for it! All the best in the New Year :9

    On a sidenote, the "30g/hr" myth has been put to rest a long time ago, your body will digest close to all of the protein that goes down the hatch (whether you eat two whole chickens a meal or just a chickenwing worth of protein).

    I don't really think it's a fad..I went to jamba juice like it was going out of style..but now I can make them at home!

    And I've been eating everything organic the last two years and all my meat grassfed from a farm.

    I try never to eat at..and I haven't eaten at a fast food restaurant in years.

    If I do go to a fast food chain, it's a place that serves grassfed burgers
