    What are your goals?
    To lose weight or become fit?

    To lose weight point blank you have to create a deficit in your caloric intake. Go online, type in your weight and height and it'll tell you your caloric *maintenence* needs. Subtract 500 from that and at 500 calories a day x 7, you'll lose a pound in a week. 1000 x 7 would be 2 lbs a week. There's 3500 calories in a pound. So in order to lose a pound you have to consume less calories or work out. But all in all working out really only builds endurance/muscle tone. Unless you're working out for HOURS, you're not going to lose weight simply from working out. Weight loss is 90% in the kitchen. You can literally sit on your ass but just consume less and lose weight.

    I've had a pretty strict regimine the last few months to start HRT.
    My results have been steady and stable, 2-3lbs a week. My caloric intake is around 800, I do lower body workouts MWF (squats, lunges, situps, scissor kicks, leg lifts) and yoga/running on Tuesday/thursday. Yoga for flexibility and running for endurance/overal heart health. If you do cut calories or certain foods I'd recommend a multivitamin like Centrum. I take an orange chewable to make sure I get everything I need (I don't eat meat). Anywho enough babbling. Good luck!

    just one tip
    lay off the fruit juice and eat the whole fruit

    when fruit is juiced it leaves behind all the fibre and gives you a big dose of fructose which is the worst type of sugar

    I haven't done a lot with my diet through the years but I did cut out high fructose corn syrup a few years ago and it seems to have helped some. Good luck!

    EDIT: Oh, and congrats on 30! Woo hoo!

    What HarajukuDollxoxo said is pretty spot on. It's all about diet, maintenance and then exercise for toning.

    If anyone recommends a great product like Semtex, Herbalife or some fad diet then they are talking absolute shit. It's all about calories and hard work, if there were a miracle cure for being fat there would be no fat people.
