Yes and no. It depends on your religion. For Christians it is illegal and if you are Islamic you can marry 4 women.. but there is a caveat:

this is one of the most famous misconceptions about islam. men are allowed to marry up to four women ONLY if the following:
1. the woman is a widow and is unable to care for her children
2. the woman is poor and needs financial support
and other reasons similar to these

No marriage is supposed to go on without the permission of the first wife and she must agree. As well as the guy must be 100% sure that he will deal with all his wives and children with justice and equality.

I really just wanted to use the word caveat, but theres the answer cuz I am a helpful kind of chick.
