It's pretty obvious that White_Male_In_White_Sheet is especially gleeful that this incident involves a black democrat...it must be a slow day down at the bunker...

I`m gleefull when anyone who assualts a police officer just doing his job are arrested. It`ll be a misdemeanor charge,no jail.Odds are one cannot be convicted and be a Congressman tho.

That said, relax Chef and suck on my chocolate salty balls, they`re good(fightin`Whities? Real DENVER (AP) - The idea started among some University of Northern Colorado students as a satirical commentary on a local high school's American Indian mascot.
The students named their intramural basketball team, made up of American Indians, Hispanics and whites, ``The Fighting Whities.'' They printed up jerseys saying ``Every thang's going to be all white,'' with a caricature of a middle-aged white man.

Being "pretty" sure is not being 100% certain.

The judge said Mr DeLay's actions in the conspiracy charge were not a crime at the time that the alleged violations took place and all conspiracy charges were thrown out, even before the trial begins!

As for money laundering,The "facts" in the indictment do not make a case for illegal contributions by the corporations because the indictment doesn't even allege that the corporate contributions were made within 60 days of an election. The essential argument is that a contribution was made to the RNC from a Texas PAC, which had received these corporate contributions (the dates of which we don't know), and certain candidates in Texas received money (presumably from the RNC), although not necessarily tracking with the corporate contributions to the PAC.Based on this information, there are no illegal contributions, let alone no tie to Tom DeLay. Also note that none of the corporations that made contributions have been indicted. (And, by the way, the Texas conspiracy statute requires evidence that those charged actually intended to commit a crime. So, the bar for the government is significant.)

Smile, we are confident it`s gonna be a quick trial and a not guilty verdict.

BTW WMC/ Your Daddy the $64K question to you is: What's so special about the current administration that you feel compelled to jump on a soapbox on a TS forum (none the less) to champion their actions again and again??? Honestly do you go into pro Bush chat rooms and let them know how you set a bunch of tranny lovers straight about the current state of affairs

I just don't get it. Be honest, no smoke and mirror attempts that basically boil down to "Nah nah nah we won you lost" retort or the other well ran answer "Just imagine if Kerry won". I'm OK with the fact that Bush and company are in office ---by hook or crook they are there but seeing that they basically cannot even run a quail hunt much more than this country why all the drum beating for arguabley the worst administration ever.

    Yes let`s talk.

You`re a master of deflection. Reality sends you off on irrelevant tangents,of which have little or no merit. you scurried away from the fact that Ramzi Yusuf fled to Iraq on an Iraqi passport,Al-Tuwaitha,Saddam`s OWN files:

Perhaps they`re all forgeries, just like Dan Rather`s "National Gaurd Documents" Bringing up Frist selling his stock? You really don`t do much sourceing or research do you.The old drive by smear always fails because Senate ethics rules allow the sale of stock to avoid a conflict of interest. The CoI was the pending Medical/Tort reform legislation.

So here we have the looney-kazooney left moving the goal posts once again. It`s only bad if Abramoff HIMSELF signed a check and personally handed it to someone !

The reality is Abramoff has employees do that for him.Case in point is democrat Robert P. Casey Jr who accepted funds from Greenberg Traurig LLP via his employee,Edward Ayoob.Who by the way worked as a senior aide for current Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid.

“The NRSC has begun circulating among fellow Republicans new reports showing that all but five of the chamber’s 44 Democrats have taken Abramoff-related money. In addition, the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee have taken more than $1.2 million, according to records provided to The Washington Times.” (Charles Hurt, “Dorgan Returns Abramoff Money,” The Washington Times, December 14, 2005)

Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) Received Over – $430,000
The Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) Received Over – $629,000
Democrat National Committee (DNC) Received Over – $177,000

Democrat Sen. Tom Harkin failed to account properly for two fundraisers he held in lobbyist Jack Abramoff’s skybox at Washington’s MCI Center in 2002 and 2003, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and a spokeswoman for the Iowa Democrat.http://www.hillnews.com/thehill/expo...005/news3.html

Democratic recipients of Abramoff Team donations: the aforementioned Dr. Dean, Democrat Senators Clinton, Kerry, Daschle, Boxer, Baucus, Bayh, Breaux, Cantwell, Carnahan, Cleland, Conrad, Dodd, Dorgan, Feingold, Harkin, Hollings, Johnson (Tim), Landrieu, Leahy, Lieberman, Lincoln, Mikulski, Murray, Nelson, Pryor, Reed, Rockefeller, and Torricelli – who left the Senate in disgrace under the cloud of his own campaign finance scandal – as well as the Democratic Senate Majority Fund, a plethora of Democratic congressmen, and PAC’s that distributed funds across the Democratic Party landscape.

Additionally, one of the A Team members, Michael D. Smith, had his own political action committee. Smith, a former official in Al Gore’s 2000 presidential campaign, distributed $168,000 to Democratic candidates through his Winning Margins PAC from 2001-2004, the closest reporting period to the time Abramoff was at Greenberg Traurig, according to federal records.

Disregarding the PAC money, Smith’s personal donations to Democrats almost offset Abramoff’s contributions to Republicans. F.E.C. records show that Smith donated $117,417 to Democrats or to his–or the firm’s–PAC from January, 2001 through March, 2004. Abramoff gave $127,080 to Republicans during the same period.

At least two aides to House Majority Leader Tom DeLay and two Democratic congressmen received travel expenses initially paid by lobbyist Jack Abramoff on his credit card or by his firm (GET IT? HIS FIRM/EMPLOYEES), internal records of the lobbying firm show.

DeLay's office and one of the lawmakers, Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., said they had no knowledge that Abramoff or his firm paid the expenses.

    Related demorats on the run:

The FEC has formally determined that Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign treasurer, Andrew Grossman is legally responsible for the three false FEC reports that Hillary's finance director, David Rosen, was criminally charged and tried for in mid-2005. Mr. Grossman signed a "Conciliation Agreement" with the FEC on December 13, 2005, admitting his culpability, and agreeing to pay a civil fine and amend his false reports to reflect the $721,000 that he failed to report since October, 2000.http://www.hillcap.org/rosen_indictment.pdf

A federal appeals court ruled Tuesday that (D) Rep. Jim McDermott violated federal law by turning over an illegally taped telephone call to reporters nearly a decade ago.

In a 2-1 opinion, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia upheld a lower court ruling that McDermott violated the rights of House Majority Leader John Boehner, who was heard on the 1996 call involving former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

The lower court had ordered McDermott to pay Boehner more than $700,000 for leaking the taped conversation. The figure includes $60,000 in damages and at least $600,000 in legal costs.http://apnews.myway.com/article/20060328/D8GKO3I85.html

    Chuck the Schmuck Schumer:

A former Democratic staffer pleaded guilty today to computer fraud for snooping on Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele.

Under the plea agreement in U.S. District Court, Lauren B. Weiner, 25, avoids jail time, but she has a year to do 150 hours of community service.

Steele -- a Republican running for U.S. Senate -- was notified by Democrats in Washington that a staffer used Steele's Social Security number to obtain his credit report last year. Weiner was fired from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee after the breach was discovered.http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/loc...ocal-headlines

Can you imagine the media firestorm if staffers for, say, Frist, had used Barack Obama's Social Security number to fraudulently obtain his credit report looking for stuff to derail his Senate campaign? Frist would have been before a media firing squad faster than you can say Bill Bennett.

Rep. William J. Jefferson (D-La.), a veteran member of the Ways and Means Committee whose homes in Washington and New Orleans were raided by the FBI last week, had been the target of an undercover FBI sting involving public corruption for nearly a year, according to law enforcement sources.

Investigators are looking into whether Jefferson illegally pocketed hundreds of thousands of dollars of an investor's money from business transactions during the sting, according to the sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the case.http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...081201678.html

The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) today disclosed that it filed a 500-page Complaint on February 28 with the office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia detailing hundreds of ethics law violations by Rep. Alan Mollohan (D-WV).

Rep. Mollohan is the ranking member of the House ethics committee and a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee. The Wall Street Journal this morning carried a front-page story about the case.

Need I go on about this non-starter of an issue.

Once again,a vain attempt. -E for effort.

The "Fightin' Whities" had me laughing nonstop for about twenty minutes yesterday. I showed the article to my wife and a friend last night, and they both thought it was absolutely hysterical. Here's a website I found that carries apparel for the team:
