LOL, I wouldn't consider myself having fans at all. Much of this topic isn't even about me really.
In my eyes it is all about you *smile*

In the movie Galaxy Quest (For those that haven't seen it, it is an excellent send-up of Star Trek fanaticism and a great what-if scenario), Tim Allen, as the intrepid Captain, is running from this alien monster and screaming "Help me!" to his crew in the skies above. Alan Rickman, playing the 'Spocklike' smart-alien on the crew yells into the mic (In that delightful accent of his) "Oh, royt then! I's all aboutchoo then, i'nt it?".

OK, OK, you definitely hadda be there, but it's priceless.

LOL, I wouldn't consider myself having fans at all.
The fan base is relative. You'd be surprised at how many of us truly enjoy your company.

Hmm...now this is a case of which is worse? The fact that you actually remembered that scene from the movie...or...the fact that I'm one of the 10 people who has actually seen it. LMAO

People enjoy my company? Lies...ALL LIES I TELL YOU!!!
    Lies! Lies and specualtion!

I remember an awful lot of sick stuff.

Hey, I have lived through some of that fanaticsim (Though more as an observer). How many people can say that two of their 'girlfriends' made Mr. Sulu trip over his own feet at Virginia Beach when they waved at him from the hotel balcony in the nude?

    Ha!

Your people should call my people and we should do lunch at the Terminal sometime.

I fondly remember that scene and the movie Galaxy Quest. A brilliant sendup, as you say.

I truly love that movie, especially having seen the Trek/Sf con circuit from the inside out. I got stuck in an elevator with Chekov/Walter Koenig once, and I swear there was a look of terror in his eyes, wondering if I was going to ask him to autograph my butt or something.

I usually catch flak for this, but I like Galaxy Quest a whole lot more than Spaceballs.

I, too, am a fan of both this movie and the aforementioned scene. A great movie for anyone who has ever enjoyed Star Trek.
