Yes Evelyn, she's the one. I actually saw her in a bar in Boston some months after the story came out, she was wearing a beret, possibly due to cutting her hair after scalp suturing, not really sure as I did not want to pry into her business. When the story first came out, one of her friends posted a few pictures of her on HA when she was in the hospital but were quickly removed. Hope that she is doing well.

Yes, she was badly, badly wounded in an attack first with a weapon and then thrown out a window in NYC.

It's amazing and encouraging that she recovered. From the pictures and descriptions that were posted here, it's a miracle she is alive.

I called the number and a woman answered...I introduced myself and we had a very brief conversation...I told her about the forum, which she said she was aware of...then I said there were so many people who were interested in her and asked her if she would come on the forum and say hello...she replied she just wanted to keep a low profile...I said thanks and wished her good luck...she said thanks and that was it...whether she really was Miriam or not I haven't the slightest...
