Why do some tgirls never change their id name

I was wondering why some tgirls will not change their driver license name or gender marker after transitioning. Just wanted to get you ladies opinion on the subject? It is just weird you see this hot transwoman chick and on the driver license it still has Bob listed as the name.

i was once told by a particular tgirl that many don't do it because of lack of information on the legality and procedure on how to do. also, i have heard some fans allege that it is because some early transition or amateur tgirls are in fact not in transition but only gay men that dress in drag for cash so they have no interest in changing their names.

well you do realize that a legal name change has several complications if you will that even the most astute transwomen has to overcome

I often wonder this myself.

but as it ALWAYS is....to each their own. MANY people have MANY different reasons to do so.

Both of those reasons are legit. Personally though, I just don't understand the mentality of some people.

there was another thread on this...
i havent and will not change my name because it was picked out and given to me by my mother on a trip to france to meet my fathers family.she passed away when i was young and its one of the few things i have of her left.
my name is pretty gender ambiguous anyway.
