Default Eros.com: Love or Hate the new look?

Melania suggested that this topic should be a poll, so here goes: tell us what you think of the new Eros.

I see that they have an ad block looking for programmers. Maybe they need to put a caveat in there that suggests that applicants actualy be experienced users of the site first, which is typically not the case with such things. I've seen some horrific sites done by professionals that didn't actually =use= the site. Even a beta runthrough will perform 'normal' for them, but not for the customers/clients as a whole.

I work with a small dotcom/consulting firm and their website is a holy horror, driving clientele away IMHO, but requests from me to do a redesign (Which in this case wouldn't be all that laborious) fall on deaf ears. I'd be less pissed about it if it wasn't for a fact that I get a percentage of the bottom line for my salary.

I'd be curious to find out if the girls advertising on Eros saw a drop in clientele following this change (Primarily because people are lazy and don't take to change very well on the net), but I doubt very many of them are up with that kind of marketing savvy. I know one local girl that posts in the BDSM/Fetish aisle of the Eros site and I'd actually be a bit surprised if she even knew about the format change, let alone any effect it had on her clientele or lack thereof.

Argh! I'm not supposed to be =working= here!!

The look is an improvement in some ways, but a poor use of space and not an effective user interface (look at the wasted space for email & phone, which could be moved under the pic giving more room to the bio). And what's up with not allowing more VIP ads when girls want to pay for them?

Hmm, they're looking for programmers? I'll have to check that out....

Go for it! Kick ass and take names.

And send those names in a plain brown wrapper to:.....

By all means, let us know what you decide/how it goes. Of course, as a mild conspiracy theorist, I think they upfucked the site and posted the ad for employment to compliment each other and hook a genuine talent.

And just for S & Gs, shoot a resume this way too. At the moment we can't afford more than a large pizza and a six-pack, but we have high hopes.
