Re: Cowboy President
I'm sorry but I've seen all the Breitbart tricks on the art of taking quotes out of context and all the Romney ads that misquote Obama and lift fragments of his speeches out of context. I'm not about to be suckered into providing the context for 65 different sentence fragments. Now if you want to hear more lies in context than you thought could be crammed into the space of one speech (and that's Fox New's characterization, not mine) just listen to the whole of Ryan's acceptance speech that he presented to the National Republican Conention in Florida just weeks ago.

Re: Cowboy President
No Trish the current President goes around spreading democracy and now we have the build up of yet another war. Once again where's the CHANGE? He has done nothing but continue the cowboy politics from before.
You guys would be screaming if Bush was involved in Libya, meddling in Syria, and bearing down on Iran. Kinda hypocritical. But to paraphrase one poster, 'he's just doing what any other President would do"

Re: Cowboy President
Still not going to answer the question? How would you have handled the situation differently? And he is not just doing what any other president would do, he is doing what any person in that situation would do. You call him out for his cowboy tactics, SO how he could have handled it better?

Re: Cowboy President
SFTP - you talk simplistic drivel on foreign policy. There IS a difference. There was no evidence of WMD in iraq. None. An Bush and his allies (including Blair) knew it. This was pat of the ne-cons project for a new american century. Hah! This time there is growing and considerable evidence of the attempt to get such weapons and of Iran's genuine hostility to other nations in the region. Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and others are very scared of iran - and so obviously is Israel. Stop peddling simple minded ness.

Re: Cowboy President
No SFTP has other motives.
To try and suggest the US (with Nato) involvement in Libya was comparable to Bush's fuck-up in Iraq is ludicrous. And what exactly is the US involvement in Syria? Spell that out please SFTP - in detail for all us poor unenlightened souls here.
Obama's foreign policy approach is far from perfect for sure. He has certainly also failed to close Guantanamo. But he is trying to do the right thing. Unlike his predecessor. There are now no covert prisons overseas where suspects were rendered to for torture. Under the eye and knowledge of President Bush and his gang. And meanwhile Mr Romney proclaims that the Palestinians and israelis will never have peace - so why should the US bother getting involved.
