I tried. All the routers around me are secured with WPA2 and most of them are WPA2-tkip. Apparently aircrack-ng only works on WPA2-psk, but I tried it anyway. I was able to deauth a client and capture a handshake when they reconnected, but after running a bruteforce for a day and a half on the resulting handshake, I found no passphrase so I gave up. I was just about to try Reaver to exploit wifi protected setup, but then I found out I'm probably getting internet. Woo.

No laptop. It might be interesting to drag my desktop and monitor into a Starbucks and claim technological discrimination when they kick me out.

I was hoping that's how you'd see things. I still have those drafts laying around if they're of any use to you anymore. I spent a couple more hours dinking around with new logo designs, but I couldn't find anything that was quite what you asked for without having to cut it up or resize it to the point of non-readability to fit each banner, so that's where the project was left off. Thanks for being more than understanding about all this, babe. Once I get back to my place and get the net hooked up, I'm going to need to network a lot, so I'll be on YIM more often. Hit me up once in a while. I'll surely do the same.

Thanks for all the well-wishes. My situation sounds bad, but it's not dire. I doubt my room mates are going to boot me out before I find work, and if they do, I have a few places I can stay short-term and a few friends who own couches I can surf. I'm not worried; just trying to stay motivated and put out job applications despite the piss-poor amount of feedback I'm getting from potential employers. It's disappointing, but if being disappointed is the worst of it, I'm still in pretty good shape.

They continued collecting my share of the utilities for two months before the service was simply shut off. I've tried paying them a little extra here-and-there just to pay down the bill and restore service, but at this point, I kinda doubt that's where the money has been going.

Shut off couldn't have come at a worse time for me. Finding a job is ridiculous when I live in a small suburb, don't have reliable transportation, and no internet connection. The best I could muster was an hour a day at the public library, but most online job applications take more than an hour to fill out. I still do what I can.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of HA, I can't exactly keep up with anybody while I'm on a public library computer. Less so when you consider it'd be cutting into the very little amount of time I have to try to find a job.

I think Bella deserves an apology from me. This is the second time I've assed out on Photoshop projects I've accepted from her. I was one or two drafts away from completing a set of banner ads for her when I lost my net connection. There was only a day or two left before she needed to put them to use and I fell off of the face of the interwebs. I feel like an ass, and I'd suspect she assumed I was just being an unreliable bastard. Ignoring the whole situation wasn't my intent, but I'm sure it exacerbated the issue. I'm totally sorry about that.

If anybody else was wondering, I'm doing alright. Life is stressful without any income, but I'm getting by as best as I can considering. After all this crap with my room mates went down (there were a LOT of other issues), they're at least considerate enough to let me accrue a few months of back rent while I look for a job before booting my ass out.

My room mates have said they'd be hooking up the internet again once a week for the last three weeks, so who knows; but supposedly we have a technician scheduled to show up on Monday; so I'm hoping that by Monday afternoon I'll be back online. I still won't have a whole lot of free-time as the job search is going to take priority, but I'll try to make time to post around HA every now-and-again.

Signing off until sometime Monday or Tuesday (hopefully). Regretfully, I probably won't be back around to check this post until then, though.

No job and no internet? ...Damn now I know where the "Grim"comes from ! Take it one day at a time dude....you're not gonna get it all back at once. Every time I start feelin' down about shit I make a point to visit friends in VA hospitals...not because I pity them, but because their determination to overcome a horrendous situation is inspiring.
