Default I want this election OVER! #notapoliticalthread

So is it me or has the upcoming election here in the states been getting everyone on edge?

I'm not talking political rhetoric back and forth... I'm just talking general life stuff here in the states. Everywhere I turn I see people up tight; high stress; going off about crazy ass shit.

    It's like a full moon, but non-stop.

Anyone else here in the states noticing this?

voting machines determine the selection, not the actual people. It won't make a difference.

It must be a nyc/nj thing, all is rather quiet in the Bukeye State. After donating over $15,000, volenteering, and working in poltics over last decade, I am honestly trying my best to be a-political this year!

It could be... with the role our governor is playing we do hear about it a lot.

If you're suggesting the campaign is too long at 3 years and 364 days, I'd have to agree, but what makes you think people are uptight because of the election? Only 40% even bother to get off their lazy asses and exercise a right that in other countries people die for.....and it's 20% in primaries. I think 4 dollar a gallon gas is far more stressful than a presidential campaign. You can't escape using energy....you can't reach for the channel changer. Most people are too busy watching some mindless "ex wives" show, to be engaged on how thier lives are being controled...but they'll gather around the water cooler the next day and lament about how boring their lives are. I'm sorry.....but the average citizen is absent any sence of history, and any sence of civic duty..one could argue they're morons.

PS....if the shoe don't fit....don't try to put it on!

One good thing about Canada's elections.

The Prime Minister goes to the Governor General to dissolve parliament, and the election campaigning begins.

A mere 4 to 6 weeks later we're in the voting booth with a piece of paper and a pencil and it's done.

Then you just hope someone gets a majority government so there is 4 to 5 years of peace.

Best TV ever, CNN and MSNBC during election season. Fox makes no sence though.
