As a 'stand alone' film, i quite liked "The Italian Job", found it entertaining in parts.
But, if you're after a truly dreadful remake, watch "Get Carter"!

Saw it. It's not the movie of the year. Just remember - Almost everything in Hollywood is a remake.

Sometimes they get it right but most times its an epic fail. I will say I liked the new fright night compared to the old one. The kids in the old one were just plain stupid.

i don't get it as well (remaking any movie). i never even consider watching them- i mean, what is there to see? i already know the story and i'm likely attached to the previous actors playing certain characters. i never get people that say they loved the original so they're going to see the remake. if i've seen the original, it's a guarantee i won't see the remake.

also, didn't know about flight of the navigator. i loved that film growing up. there is just no way i could see this remake. to me, that story belong back in the 80s with that annoying kid, pee wee herman as the computer and sarah jessica parker as the hot chick working @ nasa. why don't people (including the audience) just respect things to remain a certain way and move on?

Movies are so often disappointing! Porn movies always have a little something for you. And yes, you’re right, Quiet Reflections, how could porn remake possibly fail?

Often, I'd rather watch a terrible italian production and have a good laugh than trying myself at a more recent, well publicized picture...

    Does not compute.

    One thing about Recall, though:

    Kate Beckinsale > Sharon Stone.

    Ok, two things: Jessica Biel.

Why is it that most of the movies that Jessica Biel is in flops or does okay. Is she cursed.

    Good question.

In another sense I think she is definite cursed- she's so pretty that it's fairly boring to look at her.

First, this movie was really awful, and I was looking forward to it. The dialogue actually makes you cringe at certain points. It followed the short story closer than the original, but it barely covers the whole idea that all this might really be part of his trip, and not really happening. It's only mentioned once and not convincingly.

Second, Jessica Biel is always in flops because, as nice as she is to look at, she really can't act. I always said, Jessica biel is just slightly less hot than Megan Fox, and also, sadly, just slightly more talented. (But if I ever meet her in person I will ofcourse praise her abilities while nursing the absurd fantasy that she would let me see her naked).
