Still a good movie but the worst of the three. As you said the pacing is terrible. They tried to cram way too many sub-stories into it, each of them could be cool but they don't get the attention they deserve. Bane & Co. taking over Gotham and the multi-month descent into anarchy would be a cool movie on its own. Batman in the pit would be a cool movie on its own. Bruce Wayne is broke, there's a nuclear bomb, cop-Robin, Michael Caine is an old lady, Catwoman! just too much going on. And yes, Bane's voice was at times pretty ridiculous.

what i was dissappointed with the most was the lack of sharp thinking & cleverness from the movie makers the screenplay was so way off from TDK, i found it all to predictable, sitting there in florence and so on…

Yeah but this isn't the comic. Two Face didn't die the first time they fought, the Joker's skin is white in the comics not paint etc etc. None of the films have been true to the comic, it's all been creative license and this one is no different.

You mention the Animated series as well, but then that's it's own canon again which doesn't match the comics (Bane being an unintelligent brute), so it's not really fair to hold this to a standard when you're ok with the animated series changing things.

The comic book version of Bane was a sympathetic character when he was first introduced because he's someone who has made the most of his bad situation and risen above it. He goes after Batman because it's a challenge, and he wants to see who is the best, so he is someone the reader can empathise with.

As for not just shooting him, well you can use that argument in all of the films, not just this one.

No Azrael=epic fail lol. I liked the movie but Bane was to fuckin small IMO. They tried to make him appear bigger but it just was a fail.

I really liked the movie, but I thought there were a couple of problems: 1.) Bane's voice just sounded a little odd. I don't mean he was hard to understand, his accent just didn't sound threatening. 2.) Bane was too small. He should have looked like a roided up juice head freak. For those of you who watch WWE, he should've looked like Ryback. 3.) I feel like the Catwoman character always makes Batman look like a pussy. She did in this movie when she stabbed Batman and he looked and sounded like he was going to cry. 4.) If this was Nolan's last film in the franchise, why set up the Robin character at the end? It seemed sort of tacked on and pointless, considering the franchise will most likely just be rebooted without Bale and Nolan. 5.) The "no auto-pilot" plot point seemed a little ridiculous. There was no ejector seat either? Other than these problems I feel like the movie was very good, and a fitting end to the trilogy.

I don't remember Catwoman stabbing him. It was his business partner that stabbed him near the end.

You might be right, I can't remember if she actually stabbed him or not, but I know that she twisted the knife in him, because that's when he looks like he's going to cry, and wimpily says "Why?!"

Well, considering where she stabbed him, she being Miranda Tate, I'd think anyone would do more than just wince at that kind of pain. I liked that Bruce Wayne cried out in pain when it hurt, hes only human, after all. He doesn't have any super powers, wasn't bitten by a spider or exposed to gamma radiation, he was a boy who ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time and saw his parents die. He trained hard in mind and body, sweat and blood to become a weapon of vengeance.

In the Comics as someone said Bane was a character to be empathized, he was very intelligent, very cunning and ruthless. Imo the only way he was able to beat Batman in a straight up fight was due to the fact that he released all of Arkham Asylum and waited for Batman to clean up the mess before making his move. There's a saying many geeks have, give Batman 24 hours to prepare to fight any DC villain and he's got them beat.

I was happy with this film, and yes there were plenty of holes and the pacing was off I think it had more to do with the time frame the film was given, 2hr 45min is very long by today's standards and I'm convinced a lot of footage was cut in order to keep it under the 3 hour mark. Either way, we'll see when the super blu ray edition hits the shelves.

Also, Bane's voice sounds funny because they had to redo the voicing after that promo trailer during Mission Impossible 4, too many people didn't understand a word he said, so I'm thinking they dubbed over what they needed to and skipped what they didn't, hence the uneven voice acting at times. Either way, Tom Hardy played an exceptional villain and deserves props for it.

    My 2 cents
