    Erika, have you seen Gloria's training videos? If so, do you feel the two of you are fairly close in strength? How many plates(on each side) do you max out on(8-10 reps) on leg press or what's the most weight you put on a bar when you squat(mention whether Free Weights or Smith Machine)?

    You bench in the 315 lb range(can lift 3 plates on each side), correct? You Dead Lift too?

    Don't forget to rest when you train heavy and don't over-train(too much volume/sometimes not enough intensity).

    Your ok danthepoetman, I have been training for 7 months trying to land my first amatuer fight. I have had three fights scheduled and all three canceled due to lack of comptention in my weight class. Because I am still pre-op I am not allowed to box under 'usa boxing' which is the national olympic board for amatuer boxing. I am allowed to box under the athourty of state boxing commission in amatuer fights. My personal life I do ok, I perfer to date mostly women, and other tgirls, but will date a guy if he is nice.

    Hey Dino I have not, seen her videos, but seen several photo sets of her. I try to take it easy on the squats no more than 270lbs due to my low back L4 L5 disks are slipped some. I could probably due more, but why risk injury? On the bench press I maxed out on 300lbs, but as far as max reps are concerned I due better at 225lbs-250lbs. I try to strike a balance between legs and arms, when it comes to weight lifting, but tend to work on my upper body more to help my overall boxing strength.

    Watch out for your Sciatica when training legs heavy. I'm more into squeezing the muscle. I close my eyes trying to focus on lower quad when doing leg press. Always push with the heels too. Trying to build that teardrop above the knee more prominently.

    When I Squat I use a wide Sumo Stance that gets more Glutes and Lower Back. I pop a Glute occasionally or have pain in the lower back. When this happens I switch it up. Good to keep your body off guard anyway.

    Thanks for the advice. I try to keep wide, but not too wide for the reasons you mentioned above. I also alternate my lifting routine, it makes for better overall results.

    I try to earmark time for training light but I get so bored I slap 45 plate after 45 plate onto the bar to make it more fun and challenging. Love struggling inch by inch with a bar and raise Hell when someone bails me out too quick. I tell them all the time, "Don't touch the bar unless you see my eyeballs laying on my cheeks!" No ha-ha stuff in the gym.
