Best Quality/Content for money site?

You're speaking as a consumer on a personal basis with a personal opinion without giving thought to the other perspectives (i.e. - other consumers, producers, directors, models, etc.). You're making general statements about something you obviously don't understand or haven't thought through. [ADDED ON EDIT: Using this logic, I could pretty much say you're uneducated and unintelligent because you have an occasional spelling mistake or grammatical error in your typing. However, that would be an unfair assumption because I don't know you as a person... your credentials, habits, etc. etc. You act as an 'insider' to the world of porn... are you or are you simply an individual consumer?]

You're calling something 'amateur' which, for all you know, may have well been shot that way purposefully. 'Amateur' as it relates to video and photo work is a STYLE, not a descriptor. As I stated, you can argue the TECHNICAL points of resolutions and ratios, but that is a separate issue... which you're trying to mix into the style of shooting.

So, I know you were a judge for the most recent Tranny Awards and had access to a number of different sites, including mine. Therefore, you are well aware that I shoot content that is unique and 'amateur' given your view. However, I shoot with a $1,500 camera, a $1,000 camcorder, and fairly expensive lighting at times. I think you can aptly call something 'amateur' if they either don't or do not have the capability to use 'professional' equipment... Clearly Grooby has those capabilities and their photographers / videographers are professional enough to shoot content that is stylistically aware.

As a judge, you also know that EVERY site on the market has a scene or two that probably should have never seen the light of day. You can't take a bad scene and apply that site-wide to an entire company.

Finally, your point of 'industry standards' is fairly laughable. One could argue that as one of (if not THE) the largest producers of TS porn, Grooby Productions IS the industry standard.

My judgement about Grooby is about their total work. I've been a member for years. I've enjoyed the content. In my opinion their style appears to be amateurish. There are many scenes with bad lighting, camera shots in the background, and seeing the cameraman. Their intent is not have an armature style. Their execution and final product appears amateurish. Maybe the editing team is the problem and it has nothing to do with the lighting and camera.

In my opinion Grooby has some great scenes such as Morgan Bailey's Christmas scene and Celeste's Thanksgiving scene. However, there are also bad quality scenes such as Kelly Clare's Shemalepornstar scene having poor lighting and the many scenes with camera shots in the background.

And that's fine as an opinion. What I have a problem with is your presentation as an industry insider and not simply a consumer with an opinion. It is fine to say that you find some of the Grooby scenes suffer from... What I don't think is fine or fair to do is single out the entire company for the reasons you gave.

Unless you've joined all the sites you're 'judging' RECENTLY, and have done a thorough comparison of all content, then basically you're generalizing an OPINION. You should state it as such and add, as I did, that EVERY single site has some scenes with lighting, sound, and photo issues.

Personally, I'm not in the business of putting down other peoples' works or I could probably list examples from ALL the sites mentioned, including Grooby sites, that have both technical and quality issues. In my opinion, singling Grooby out as 'amateur' is plain silly, given your reasons.

These sentences right here indicates that you do not understand shooting video as a style, and in fact, undermines your entire line of reasoning thus far.

I think it has already been stated that SMY (ShemaleYum) and some of the other scenes are shot stylistically as 'gonzo' ... Educate yourself as to what that means before you go about stating what a producer's 'intent' is.

It's wonderful that you are a Member of the sites, and totally irrelevant except to support the argument that people spend their dollars on where they know there is the best value, which again, undermines your other arguments.

Here's the thing: if you buy a Volkswagen then you bought it because it's a Volkswagen not because you WANT IT to be a Mercedes Benz. And if you bought it for the latter reason then chalk it up to a lesson learned and next time buy a MB. There's a reason you join Grooby: they have more content and more diverse content than anyone else. That's their niche.
