If Romney did become President, he would be the first true businessman holding that office since Herbert Hoover.

There isn't a lot of difference between Obama and Romney.
Obama, in a lot of ways, is worse than Bush.
And, too, every president just becomes enmeshed in the system, in the structure. Whereby corruption is rampant. Whereby you simply serve power. Whether it be state power or corporate power. If one can even distinguish between the two at this point --
And, too, who knows... under Romney power in the executive could become even more centralized.
What has happened in the last 30 years: government has moved more and more to the right.
Reagan, by all accounts, was a liberal. As was Bush Sr. Clinton was a fairly moderate Republican. Bush Jr. was a moderate. Yes! A moderate. Because he didn't run the executive branch. It was Cheney. (A good book that addresses this is: Worse than Watergate by John Dean. Who points out that Cheney essentially ran the extremely centralized executive branch.) And since Obama assumed the presidency, well, executive power has become even more centralized. And this is dangerous. If we live in a so-called democracy. Whatever the hell that means -- ha ha!

Thom Hartmann conjectures that Mitt Romney is a sociopath. Well, it'd be almost impossible to tell.
But apparently sociopaths do gravitate to positions of power. Whether they become a Head of State or a Head of a corporation.
And it'd be far easier to do one's job as a CEO if one were a sociopath. Ya know, being forced to lay off workers when profits fall and then sleep soundly at night. I should underscore: I do not think the vast majority of CEOs are sociopaths. They're simply doing a job that requires them to be, well, less than benevolent.
