Ah SRG ...... Now that was a Board . Sadly Hugh " Cassanova " Jarrod ( Hughie ) passed away in March of 2009 from Bone Cancer . I went to Hung Devils recently after I finally remembered my password to try to contact CrimsonRaider to find out if he had any news about SRG . My password was still good after 3 years ( i only went there a couple of times ) . It looks like he is no longer on HD . I have seen some SRG members screen names on HA . Maybe they know something . All I know is SRG was was up last summer & then nothing . I remember SunshyneMonroe was on SRG when she 1st got started or atleast when I 1st heard about her .

One of the best 2 threads on SRG were the Movie Quote Game & the Do You Know How I Know You Are Gay . I remember when TM1 started that thread & he & Hughie when back & forth against each other . The funny part ( other than the posts ) was several members thought TM1 & Hughie were fighting & tried to tell them to be nice & not fight . The guys began not to trust it, because any time a bad review was posted, it would get taken down out of fear that the ladies would object. So it was kind of a waste, and no one posted new ones. Then the guy who ran took the dickishness to a whole other level. He'd have these "fund raisers" where he'd call you out if you were a member but didn't give him any money. Some of us objected to the public nature of it. He didn't care and escalated things even more by giving lifetime bans to your IP address if you didn't pay up. I was abroad for a summer and didn't even know I was being shook down by him, found out my IP was banned. After trying to get things cleared up, and failing, I gave up on this site. Most of that info was old anyway, and never got properly archied. Susan Shah was still listed as active years after she had passed. So, I don't even care if its back now or not. I'll never go back to it, even if it is free.

Yeah, it was tragic about the late, and honestly great, Hugh Jarrod. He was kind of mentor in this world when I was first starting into it. He was on this board too. Still miss that guy! I guess part of it was the same as above. A lot of the ladies were taking exception to many of the reviews and did a lot of complaining. But i always found them to be trustworthy. I mean you could tell when someone was clearly making up stuff, and many times the reviews would never even make it to posting if they were that far off. If a lady objected in the comments, I always took it into account. I was told that some ladies had made legal threats, and there was just a ton of other stuff behind the scenes, like Hugh passing, and the end of the server agreements, renewing the domain name, and a whole host of other factors that led to it's ultimate demise. All of that combined, and no one willing to take it over was what killed it. I had hoped it would come back, but it's gone forever.


I think what I've learned from almost 20 years of these sites in some form or another, no review site will ever last, except for TER which for many many reasons is like a cockroach, and will surivive anything. But you'll never find a site that patrons trust and providers don't gripe about, they're just naturally opposite interests. So better just to find what you can, and play it safe with known entities.

I can verify the truth of that as I visited a well-known escort in Manhattan in 2005 and posted an honest review of someone who was completely uninterested in the session, got up half-way through to answer the door (she had ordered a takeaway from a nearby restaurant) and was in my opinion a complete waste of money-it never showed on the site, whereas the ones that remained were all rave reviews.

Really? You guys pulled all of mine (I had about 10 on there back in the day. Almost all were reviews of ladies I highly reccommended.) I also remember politely being asked not to post reviews anymore after the infamous Allenina = Dead Fish review.

Review sites are also only as good as the people who contribute. I ran two successive Yahoo groups dedicated to reviews. And had been a member of two others before that. Both initially flourished with many postings and some girls responding - in some cases positively, in other cases flaming the group. I ran a tight ship and excluded all spammers and deleted some postings which were abusive or insulting But as time went on, interest flagged. Hard to say why? The latest yahoo group is still there, still gets membership requests and one or two postings a month. Can't explain y though I now recommend anyone who is a member to post here instead. As Jennierparishusband says the one long term survivor is the erotic review - and that is because it makes lots of money I assume.

I remember some providers would get pissed about negative reviews & would come to board acting all diva & full on NPD . They wouldn't stay long because that was not something thgat was catered to & if you pulled it, other members would give it right back .

I did mention that the site became less involved as a Review Site & more of a Club or Info. Board .
