I kinda figured that even as extreme a case as this guy is, some super liberal would come out for him. Dude, ditch all that community hugging it takes a village to raise a kid stuff.

Its called personal responsibility. If he was trying his best to provide for them then I could cut him a little slack., but the article was about him going to court to have his child support payments cut.

I'm a stoner, man. Shit just slips out sometimes. My only gripe is that it seems nobody is accountable to each other anymore. Personal responsibility clearly isn't cutting it when a dude can father 30 kids and none of his family, friends, baby-mamas, or neighbors get involved to confront the dipshit about his actions. The first course of action shouldn't be a court case or custody battle. That should be the last course of action. I just think it's a little sad he was able to bust out 30 kids before anybody got around to doing anything about it.

I'll cut him a little slack for his low IQ. I would cut him zero slack for his behavior whether he were making an honest effort to provide for the kids or not. His behavior harms society more than most criminals, as did the behavior of the Mothers who are equally culpable.

This is just a symptom of a fucked up society. Is he to blame? yeah. But then so is everybody else.

Society always has been fucked up; always will be fucked up; and is less fucked up now in many regards than it has been in the past. It is what it is.

But I fail to see how "everyone" is to blame for these thirty children, except to the extent that the behavior is not only tolerated but protected. Considering the high regard this society places on child welfare, it would not be unreasonable to forcibly sterilize indigents who continue to procreate, beyond, say, two children. The only other options are to let the children suffer horribly for the irresponsibility of their parents or to force you and me to support those children. I'll take option number one.
