Urban X Awards. Strange choices.

If urban = ethnicity then Wendy's the only person out of place but given she's known for her interracial work, it's not that big a stretch.

But if urban means city-based then I see where you are coming from, but that would yeild other equally bizarre nominations.

What would you consider a proper definition of urban? What do they (the awards people) define it as?

I think they should have Best Tgirl Performer in an Interracial Porn... and then it would fit for a white girl to be nominated! LOL I think Sasha or Nodia should of been nominated! Or even Sheeba! And Madison Montag never even did a porn with a blk guy! So assuming its Big Dick Bitch!

That's kind of my point Michelle. It devalues an ethnic award by allowing anyone in. The do give awards for interracial scenes so performer within that category would be good also. I don't see the point of having an "Urban/Ethnic" award when it's open to everyone.

This is the third year of the award and alot of kinks to get worked out I would assume. I was under the impression when I made my nominations that it would be "Performer of the Year" and 'Interracial TS Performer of the Year", since they do that in the BBW and Female categories as well as website.

I am no "advisor" as someone said for the ts niche to them as I have only spoken to them twice, once to request my website award and the other when I sent in my pre-nominations when they asked for them on twitter.

I sent them an email requesting they look into the category as a whole would be beneficial to them via sponsorship and attendance to break the category into two as I said they do for BBW and Female. However I am not going to sit and bash the ladies in the categories but instead of causing a big argument about it I hope communication with them will help steer it to the right course.

I don't think anybody has "bashed" any of the nominees, Wendy. I'm questioning their appropriateness on being there. It's like having "Best Red Haired TS" category and letting Vicki Richter or Yasmin Lee be nominated, or a "Best BBW category" with Kimber James getting a nomination.

I also wrote them this morning and I hope they will split the award and repoll for the Best TS. I think Paris and Madison are good choices but it would be nice to have more competition.

Urgh - should have been split. Just demoralizes the girls who should have been up for an ethnic award even more.
