Glee introduces transgendered female character: Unique

As the title says, Glee introduced this past Tuesday a new character, a transgendered girl called Unique. Now Unique still lives as a boy (Wade) but she finally got the guts to put on a dress and a pair of heels for the first time, here's her performance:

No Sunshyne, the character IS transgendered (the actor is a gay man). But she's still in high school, so she lives as a boy. But she explained in another scene that she felt like a woman inside and that's why she wanted to perform as a woman on stage, that's who she truly was.

I think it is nice to get the message out to people. Entertainment is a great way to educate!

If she was transgendered they should have NOT made the character a CD initially. Let the character go through HRT at least.
The Glee producers are almost ALL gay men, so IMO this character is a DQ more than transgendered.

It's great for the topic to get more publicity on mainstream TV, but most Ts that I know of started living fulltime early on.
It's television, so what's the harm in having that character be T 24/7??

IMO this is a gay man's interpretation of a transgendered.

Glee is hard to watch begin with, but this? Such a stereotype and another lame, cliched jump the shark moment at our expense. Awesome.

I think the character looks more transgender than drag queen..

And most girls in high school when they transition don't have hormones etc..

I know I didn't when I was in high school..I went through two years of counseling since I was so young...

I didn't start hormones till 18 cause my mom was scared what it would to do to me so young..

I did used to take estroven from the pharmacy and my sisters birth control pills..

I think it's sad so many girls are getting up in arms..

We all started off like this..dressing...then hormones...then sometimes surgeries
