At straight clubs, a dude can't just walk up to most of the GG's in the place and assume they're on-the-clock escorts and available for business. We usually have to do a little more than drop a compliment, flash some cash, and leave +1. In other words, dudes go to straight clubs assuming there's a chance of failure.

At a gay club, "straight" dude's shouldn't assume anything with a dress on is an escort, but it's usually true for the majority of TG/TV/TS peeps there. Some of them may be off-the-clock, but most aren't and the imposed guarantee of hooking up brings around a never ending supply of really shiesty guys.

There are normal dudes that go to gay clubs. TBH I like that better because they have less expectations to simply get laid. I like that. A place like the Voodoo Lounge in Ft Lauderdale has a decent drag show, and it attracts all kinds of people. They have a few gay male nights, a few lesbian nights, and a drag show once a week. And the drag night has LOTS of GGs and transsexuals. People go just to dance, believe it or not. lol Some people just like to go out and get their freak on.

What were you saying, now? The Voodoo Lounge sounds pretty chill and unusually laid-back. About four years ago before I was in a relationship, I checked out a few of the clubs around Portland, but they absolutely weren't chill at all. Maybe I'm weird, but I get annoyed when the same chick comes up to me a second time and propositions because she's way too fucked up on bad drugs to recall asking me previously. That's not attractive. That was a while ago, so things could have changed; but I'm not looking anymore.
