Just blurt it out, tell them it's 2012, and to get used to it. Tell them it doesn't mean you're gay, because it actually doesn't. Let the responsibility fall on them to understand it, not on you to explain it. And if that doesn't work, move on from them and their petty judgmental attitude. You can't live to please your parents your whole life. If they love you, they'll understand and/or just won't care. And friends? lol What kind of friend would judge you for that and make you feel like you need to keep secrets? If they have a problem with that, get new friends.

well my family is gay friendly, i have a god father who is openly gay and i respect gay people as long as they respect me. i have nothing wrong with them, and if it wasn't for my son and my attraction to genetic women as well, i wouldn't be so afraid to let it be known. But my baby mom will start shit and i don't want to jeopardize my relationship with my son...maybe when he's older, but right now? no.

I don't tell my friends or family all of my secrets. There are many things I consider important to me as a person that I don't feel I need to share with everyone. I don't get this shouting from the rooftop ideal or wearing your heart on you sleeve expectation of modern society. If you are in a relationship with someone and think it is time to introduce them to your family and friends, then that is the time they need to know.

If they love you or are a true friend then it will not be a issue. If they don't "fuck em".

Not sure why you would tell them.

If you are living a lie that is one thing but if you are private by nature there is no need for anyone outside of who you want to tell to know.

All my friends know I am the one to take the extra step, push the envelope and do the things they wish they could. I learned a long time ago that confidence in all situations is what matters most.

Just don't, at least not until you are seriously dating someone. You need to stop caring what others think and live for yourself. Most people don't really care anyway in my experience, and as long as you are confident in your convictions they don't take the piss either.
