Saw them open for Humble Pie in '73, was like who the fuck are these guys? Rock the fucking Nation indeed! They did a show at a Rotary club Hall few yrs later and Sammy split his pants onstage and one of the Rotarian's freaked and tried to hold up a towel in front of him during the show funny shit.
A damn shame they have been dropping like fly's the last several yrs. Michael

I saw him a couple of times in the 80's. Once at the Reseda Country Club in Van Nuys. I think Pat Travers opened up for him. Montrose was one of the best kick ass players!!!!
