I was just listening to a program about curing disease by altering a person's gene, and even preventing it from manifesting by fixing it while a child is young.

Here's the premise, if one day someone discovered the "gay" gene and able to turn it off. Will you have a problem with that? Obviously if that's possible, we can tamper with anything: skin color, height, gender, etc. But let's go with the "gay" gene for now.
