I don't know....I'm confused by the entire thread. Erika doesn't send me into fits of rage like she does some of you all, but I don't get what her goal is here. I boxed for years at 145 pound sub novice, then 154 open class, and it's a brutal sport mentally and physically, and one I just don't like seeing girls engage in....especially girls in transition. If that's chauvinistic...I guess I'm guilty.
Is it the unfairness of the physical advantage that has you all so torqued off? Or is it just anything Erika? Would you feel the same way if she said she was attempting to join the girl scouts as a female leader?

If a brick wants to wear a dress and call itself a female legally it can do so. There's a reason we don't imprison pre-opt transexual women with biological females. Pre-opt transexuals are not allow to play pro sports as the gender they identify with, because if they decide to stop their treament (which sometimes happen) then you have a biological male or female competing against the wrong gender. (Thanks ever so much for confirming that I am old enough to be your father.)I've not spent much time in P'burg, usually just pass through on my way elsewhere, but my impression of W. Va. is that no matter which of the divs you fight in, the audience will be against you. Please be careful and have people with you when you go to your vehicle after the event.

Parkersburg field house has a rear exit for fighters (behind the school) and am not as worried about the crowd as much as the 23yrold 5ft11 236lb broad and the former state champ Taylor (the beast) who punches about as hard as I do!!!

What do you base this rage agianst women on?? I want to compete in a sport, that just so happens to be boxing. I said this before we have a right to compete in sports damn it! I am not afraid to stand and be counted and if more non-op/pre-op girls would stand up and compete in womens sports it would not carry so much damn stigma.

If I where the same size as Domino Presley or someone of her size and it would be a non-issue.
