Accroding to S 1876, if you're suspected (even with no evidence of any criminal acts) of being a terrorist, the military can arrest you and hold you indefinitely without trial. So, if SOAP passes, they can arrest you, and if your friends blog about it, their website could be shut down.

Like I illuded to in an earlier post. Piracy is only the chese in the mouse trap. As with NADD (which targets terrorists), the government seeks wide sweeping power to deal with those pesky pirates, but how long before they turn anti-pirate tool on dissenters. If you have the audacity to disagree with the government. They could fave you arrested (NADD) and have any websites that you posted on shut down (SOAP).

if everyone just downloads all these sites material from brazil and no one ever pays then these sites will just fold and they will find a new business. I dont want to see the internet run by these govt thugs but at the same time i want grooby and damazo to stay in business I love those guys.

Great. SOPA essentially would allow them to shut down any site they like at the mere allegation of even one piece of pirated content, this site included.
