    Default R.I.P. Chris Penn

This news is a few days old but I though I would acknowledge the fact that another great talent's life was cut too short.

Taken from the AP: Actor Chris Penn, brother of Sean Penn, was found dead Tuesday at a condominium near the beach in Santa Monica, police said.

Police said they discovered the 40-year-old actor's body around 4 p.m. Lt. Frank Fabrega said there were no obvious signs of foul play.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death, authorities said.

I will never forget the captivating performance Chris Penn delivered in the classic film Reservoir Dogs. He was a highly underrated actor and he will not be forgotten.

    R.I.P. Nice Guy Eddie

Agreed, a very talented character actor, who's performances were always a pleasure to watch. RIP Chris.

IFC, or maybe it was Sundance channel, has been featuring At Close Range (1986) lately. A favorite film of mine where he and brother Sean portray brothers, with Christopher Walken as their father, and leader of a crime family. It's based on a true story and it's a fucking great movie.

I only remember him from some bit parts I've seen, but he was always good. I liked that he seemed to have agreat sense of humor and was always funny as hell when doing comedy.

Wasn't he some kind of black belt martial arts experts too? I think he was in Best of the Best with Eric Roberts too.

Ava what? Why yes, I do have a car.

WOW! Thanks Nick. This highlights the fact that Chris was a true talent even though he was over-shawdowed by his brother. Even though he won no Oscars he won our hearts!
